Where has summer gone!!

Well, I must have blinked and missed it - I am talking about the summer, have we had one, we must have because it's September AGAIN. I can count on one hand the times we have mowed the lawn, got the garden chairs out, only to take them in again as soon as we sat down either because it was too cold or it rained after 10 minutes, hung the washing out in sunshine. I could go on!!

I have to say though that Autumn is lovely in its own way (of course it would be better if you had had a bit of sun through the summer!), I love the colours outside, love the cosy fire, the cuddly jumpers that I can hide my bigger bits under and the shops starting to get festive goodies in to buy. With Autumn approaching I have just completed my first Halloween bear. Ghostie was a commission for a special collector. I will miss him as I have a soft spot for him but I know he is going to a lovely home so it's on with the next bear now.

Enjoy the Autumn and lets home for an Indian Summer, if not a better one next year!

I feel the same Pauline.... (I don't dare think it aloud...but I'm wondering if it isn't age related? arrggghhhh !@!!) ... you are sworn to secrecy...don't you ever tell a soul that I said it!!

but, seriously.... I am sorry you guys had such a wet one this summer. When I visited England in 2005 I was there the last weeks of August and first weeks of September..and had a spit of rain only one day. It was absolutely hot, hot, hot...I had such lovely long walks all up and down the seaside at Clacton..... I had not taken enough shorts and light tops...had to buy a few things... and never got to wear a sweater(jumper) at all.... I think I just got really lucky!

We have had some cooler nights..and a few cooler days too...especially one of my golfing days with the old guys 2 weeks ago.... almost ear muff weather..but the past few weeks...back to lovely sunny days... why don't you hop a plane and come for a quick visit? It's gonna be up to +26C in a day or two.... for the full week I think ....

Hi Vee lovely to hear from you. You are right you know (about the age thing he he he)
I think you got very lucky when you hit the good weather here, it does come once a blue moon. Don't tempt me over there, I may just get a one way ticket and stay for good, it does look gorgeous.

Thanks for popping by

I think the seasons must have really got mixed up this year Pauline. We have had really odd weather too. I love this latest little fellow of yours Ghostie. I bet your collector was thrilled with him.
